Also known as Collision or Proximity sensor.

The Infrared Obstacle Collision Proximity Sensor is a device that can detect the presence of an obstacle in front of it by using infrared signals. The detection range of this sensor is from 2cm to 30cm and can be adjusted by a built-in potentiometer. The sensor has three pins: GND pin, VCC pin, and OUT pin 1. The GND pin needs to be connected to GND (0V), the VCC pin needs to be connected to VCC (5V or 3.3v), and the OUT pin is an output pin that is LOW when there is an obstacle and HIGH when there is no obstacle. The sensor can be used with an Arduino board to create an obstacle avoidance system.
