Serial LED Matrix Display Controller

The Serial LED Matrix Controller, when installed with a set of e-Gizmo's LED Dot Matrix Panels (see Notes), allows you to build a message display unit in a jiffy. This controller takes care of all the controller coding details to make yours a lot simpler. To display a message, you (your controller) only need to send the text through the UART channel (e.g. using Arduino's SerialPrint() function) . That's all the programming needed from your part. You can build a fairly impressive display, complete with animation, by simply sequencing a series of formatted text message strings.

• Build LED display units consisting of 1 to 4 display panels.
• Supports a number of text display animations (scroll Up, shift to right, etc.)
• User configurable via built-in configuration menu (see note 2).
• Compatible with any micro controller board that supports UART communications (e.g. gizDuino and Arduino)

1. The LED Dot Matrix Panel is sold separately. Price shown is for the controller module only.
2. e-Gizmo staff will configure the display unit for you if you buy it in a set.
