The ADD9833 chip is a Direct Digital Synthesis DDS waveform generator capable of generating Sine, Triangle and square wave functions with crystal accurate frequencies of up to 12.5MHz. It communicates with a host controller (e.g. gizDuino/Arduino) via an SPI interface.
